Network Inspector

About the role

Our West Waikato NZTA IDC team is looking for a Network Inspector to help maintain a safe, compliant, and high‑performing network. This is a hands‑on role where you’ll carry out scheduled inspections, spot issues early, and make sure the right work gets picked up at the right time. You’ll use your judgement, eye for detail, and knowledge of road maintenance to assess asset condition, log faults, and provide the evidence needed for sound decision making. It’s Good Work that matters, with a team that’s flat, friendly, and serious when it counts.

Responsibilities

• Conduct scheduled day and night visual inspections across the network and identify defects, faults, and maintenance needs.
• Assess asset condition, log and prioritise safety hazards, and update the Principal’s AWM system accurately.
