SCOPE/PURPOSE OF POSITION: Support IT cabling design and solutions to align with Corning’s technology standards and meet the connectivity needs of our businesses.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Perform design, deployment, execution and operational support of IT cabling environments. For these services the candidate will needs:
•Install, terminate, and test network cabling systems, including CAT6, CAT6a, and fiber optic cables.
•Diagnose and resolve network issues related to cabling.
•Maintain and upgrade existing network cabling systems.
•Ensure compliance with safety and building codes.
•Document network layouts, hardware types, and wiring connections for future reference.
•Provide training and support to end-users as needed.
