Responsibilities
- Able to work independently utilizing ANSYS to carry out accurate modeling and analysis of vessel structures
- Perform global analysis of ship structure
- Analyze hydrodynamic loading
- Refine models and provide suggestions on how to optimize the design for weight savings
- Have a good fundamental knowledge of structural design and calculations to streamline design
- Conceptualize ship and deck structure drawings and carry out calculations
- Able to do 3D modeling in Aveva Marine software
- Minimum degree in Naval Architecture, Marine or Mechanical Engineering from a recognized university, or equivalent
- Be part of a team of engineers to carry out structural design and calculations
