Municipal Design Engineer – Job Description

Atkins Ralis Infrastructure and Water Utilities team is searching for a Municipal Design Engineer to join our growing team. This position reports to the Director, Water Infrastructure Western Canada and can be based in Burnaby, BC or Calgary, AB.

Role Overview

As a Municipal Design Engineer you will prepare utility pipe network, site grading, access road, and drainage design using Civil 3D; perform hydraulic analysis and modeling of storm and water systems, using stormwater and water distribution network modeling software; formulate preliminary and detailed designs and drawings for various engineering and planning projects (municipal, land developments, and transportation); prepare quantity and cost estimates; write technical construction specifications in accordance with MMCD standards; prepare construction contract documents, special provisions, and tender documents for the above works; design pump stations; a...
