MRI Technologist I

**DESCRIPTION**

+ Perform MRI scans according to physician orders and established protocols.
+ Screen patients for MRI safety risks, including implants, devices, and contraindications.
+ Explain procedures and provide patient education to reduce anxiety and ensure cooperation.
+ Position patients appropriately to obtain optimal diagnostic images.
+ Administer contrast media as prescribed and monitor patients for adverse reactions.
+ Monitor patient condition during MRI procedures and respond to emergencies as needed.
+ Maintain accurate patient records and imaging documentation in the RIS/PACS system.
+ Ensure MRI equipment is functioning properly and report maintenance needs.
+ Follow infection control and MRI safety guidelines.
+ Collaborate with radiologists, nurses, physicians, and other healthcare professionals.
+ Participate in quality assurance initiatives and continuing education programs.
