Summary The position is located at the Jesse Brown VA Medical Center, Chicago Illinois, a aligned under the Office of the Director, Fleet Operations. The primary purpose of this position is to function as lead to the motor vehicle operators in the performance of their duties. Responsibilities Passing on to other workers the instructions received from supervisors and getting work started, e.g., by assigning the immediate tasks to be performed by individual members of the group led. Working along with other workers and setting the pace. Demonstrating proper work methods. Assist the supervisor with vehicle estimates, modifications, maintenance and /or repairs of Medical Center assigned fleet vehicles. Obtaining needed information or decisions from supervisors on problems that come up during the work.
