Motor Vehicle Operator (Forklift Operator)

Summary About the position: This position will be assigned to the 72d Force Support Squadron Recycling Program. Responsibilities Operates one or more types of gasoline, diesel, or electric powered wheeled vehicles typically having a gross vehicle weight (GVW) of more than 32,000 pounds. Drives over public roads (or equivalent) in a full range of traffic conditions and at highway speeds to transport cargo. Also operates forklifts to facilitate cargo loading/unloading. Physical effort is moderate to heavy. Drives tractor trailers and/or other vehicles typically having a GVW of more than 32,000 pounds. Operates vehicles to transport supplies, materials, equipment and/or tools. May drive over rough, uneven terrain or unimproved roads, interstates, steep and winding grades etc. exercising caution when backing to load/unload at docks, ramps or similar locations.
