They monitor the health of the mother and baby, offer guidance on labor and delivery, assist with birthing, and provide postpartum care. Midwives may also offer family planning and gynecological services. They can work in hospitals, birthing centers, or provide home births.

Education: Degree or certification in midwifery

Licensing: Valid state or national certification and licensure
