**Job Description**
The 3D Scanning Technician operates in a central 3D scan lab, serving as a primary user of advanced scanning technology to support part and assembly dimensional analysis. In close collaboration with engineers, analysts, and cross-functional teams, this role prepares and executes 3D scans, manages scanning projects from request to reporting, and helps develop new measurement techniques and fixtures to improve product quality and manufacturing processes.
**Responsibilities**
+ Perform 3D scans of parts and assemblies as requested, ensuring accurate and timely completion of all scanning tasks.
+ Prepare parts for scanning, including applying targets and spray coatings as needed to achieve optimal scan quality.
+ Coordinate scanning projects within the scan lab, including organizing and managing the CAD data required for dimensional analysis.
