Job Description:
Perform clinical laboratory procedures and examinations and other tests or procedures, including maintaining equipment and records and performing quality assurance tests related to examination results. Provide prompt and accurate laboratory test results and prepare products for transfusion in support of patient care. Receive clinical specimens and perform laboratory analyses as part of the diagnosis and management of disease. Follow established testing, reporting, and operational policies and procedures routinely. Assess test run performance using standard quality control criteria in accepting or rejecting test results, and investigate and resolve testing discrepancies. Make appropriate and timely notification of any test results which exceed critical value limits and document per laboratory policy, and forward test results per client or physician request.
