Medical Social Worker Internal Medicine and Rehabilitation

We are seeking a social worker for a permanent position in the Health Social Work unit of the Internal Medicine and Rehabilitation division at HUS, located at Jorvi Hospital in Espoo. The start date is 1.9.2026 or as agreed.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients' life situations and support them in accessing appropriate services, working closely with midwives, doctors and other professionals.
• Provide psychosocial support to patients and their families and coordinate with child protection, substance abuse services and other social services.
• Plan and document care in a goal-oriented manner, without making official decisions.

The main work areas include maternity clinics, HAL- and ETU-clinics for pregnant women with history of substance use or severe mental health or social challenges, and postpartum wards.
