As an integral member of the Laboratory team, the Medical Laboratory Technologist responsibilities include:

• participating in technical, professional and quality in‑services and education
• participating in staff and patient experience and feedback initiatives, professional development, teaching/educational activities, safety and quality improvement programs to ensure excellence in the provision of services;
• reading and confirming laboratory policies and procedures through document control software
• forwarding suggestions for policy and procedure improvement or corrections required to the Charge or Team Leader.
