Medical Laboratory Scientist

Job Description

To perform laboratory tests in order to produce reliable and precise data to support scientific investigations.

Responsibilities

• Prepare specimens, samples, and reagents.
• Operate and ensure regular maintenance of laboratory equipment.
• Participate in equipment validations, calibrations, quality controls and assessments.
• Ensure the laboratory is well‑stocked and resourced.
• Promptly and accurately record laboratory results and present them for approval.
• Ensure safety of all data records generated in the laboratory.
• Keep up to date with technical developments, especially those which can save time, improve quality and reliability of processes and results.
• Adhere to standard laboratory safety measures and checks.
• Participate in scientific meetings within the organization.
