Job Title: Medical Lab Technician
Job Description
This role provides critical support in a hospital laboratory by performing routine and complex clinical testing that directly impacts patient care. The Medical Lab Technician I evaluates specimens, operates and troubleshoots laboratory instruments, and ensures accurate, timely test results in accordance with established standards and procedures. This position works primarily in the blood bank and general laboratory on a third-shift schedule and offers the opportunity to transition from a contract role into a full-time position.
Responsibilities
+ Determine the acceptability of patient specimens for testing according to established criteria and departmental policies.
+ Perform routine and complex technical laboratory procedures in accordance with departmental Standard Operating Procedures.
