Job Description

This exciting public health physician position with Northern Medical Services Division of the College of Medicine, is based within northern Saskatchewan’s Population Health Unit (PHU). The northern PHU is a unique collaborative of the Saskatchewan Health Authority and Athabasca Health Authority for provision of population health services in northern Saskatchewan.


The PHU provides specialist support and expertise, and works with partners to preserve and enhance the health of the predominantly Indigenous communities across northern Saskatchewan. The PHU team includes Medical Health Officers, Public Health Inspectors, Epidemiologist, Nurse Specialists, Infection Prevention and Control Practitioner, Public Health Nutritionist, Health Promotion Coordinator and others.
