Medical Assistant, Certified - Pain Management Full-Time Days

UPMC Williamsport has a Full-Time Medical Assistant, Certified opening in our Pain Management Department!

Shift: Full-Time 40hrs/week
Hours: Monday thru Friday 7a-5p

Purpose:
Assist physicians with various aspects of patient care (including clerical, environmental, and organizational tasks) ensuring patient satisfaction. In addition to core Medical Assistant responsibilities, serves as lead person for team regarding day-to-day workflow issues or office procedures.

Responsibilities:

+ Attends routine meeting with staff to communicate procedural changes to improve service quality and patient safety.
+ Participates in implementation of department goals, processes and procedures. Assists with orientation of new staff members.
+ Relay instructions and education to patients per provider's instruction.
