This role supports a busy outpatient sports medicine practice by ensuring exam rooms are fully prepared, patient charts are organized, and clinical workflows run smoothly throughout the day. The medical assistant confirms patient information and vitals, manages chart preparation using the Athena scheduling system, and helps create an efficient and positive experience for both patients and providers in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
+ Restock exam rooms daily so that all supplies, equipment, and materials are ready before the physician arrives on site.
+ Complete chart preparation the night before clinic sessions, including reviewing the Athena schedule and organizing patient information for the following day.
+ Ensure exam rooms are fully set up and ready when the physician walks in, including having x‑ray discs loaded in advance so the physician can review imaging without delay.
