Mechanical Engineer

Job Description
Insight Global is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to support one of its largest utility clients in New York City. This role is based out of Manhattan and supports gas and steam systems across multiple facilities, with a focus on rotating equipment and energy infrastructure.

This is not a full-time plant-based role. Instead, the engineer will work primarily in an office-based engineering group, providing technical support, design review, and project coordination, while occasionally traveling to sites for field support and troubleshooting.

The role blends engineering analysis with real-world equipment application, supporting critical systems such as pumps, compressors, and turbines across gas and steam operations, including infrastructure that interfaces with LNG facilities.
