Mechanical Design Engineer

Location: Kongsberg or Oslo, Norway (Hybrid - 3 days on-site, 2 days remote)

An innovative organisation developing advanced small satellite technology is seeking a Mechanical / AIT Engineer to join its engineering team. This is a hands‑on role combining mechanical design, manufacturing support, and Assembly, Integration & Test (AIT) activities throughout the product development lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

• Create detailed mechanical CAD models, engineering drawings, and manufacturing documentation using SolidWorks.
• Design Ground Support Equipment (GSE), including fixtures, jigs, lifting equipment, and test rigs to support assembly and testing.
• Plan, prepare, and support Assembly, Integration & Test (AIT) activities, including test setup, execution, and reporting.
• Work closely with engineers and technicians to develop practical, manufacturable, and efficient mechanical solutions.
