Mechanic assistant

Purpose of the Position

Assist qualified Diesel Mechanics in servicing, repairing, maintaining, and inspecting diesel-powered vehicles, equipment, and components to ensure they operate safely, efficiently, and in accordance with manufacturer specifications and company standards.

Duties Assist with planned maintenance and breakdown repairs on diesel vehicles, engines, and mechanical components. Help disassemble, inspect, clean, assemble, and test vehicle and engine components under the guidance of a qualified Diesel Mechanic. Assist in diagnosing mechanical and electrical faults using appropriate diagnostic tools and equipment. Support routine servicing, including oil changes, filter replacements, lubrication, and fluid level inspections.
