Description:

Materials Engineer PURPOSE: Provides technical support related to materials necessary to meet engineering needs. Ensures that projects meet specifications, standards and performance requirements within area of expertise. ENTRY QUALIFICATIONS: • BS Degree in Metallurgical Engineering, or Materials Engineering. 8+ years relevant experience in specialized area or product line(s).
• Full understanding of metallurgical manufacturing, melting, forging and heat-treating processes. • Expert knowledge of metal forming techniques, specifically open and closed die forging. • Good organization and project planning skills. Demonstrates proficiency in thinking creatively, project planning and task completion.
• Experienced in executing variations in customer, code or contract compliance and the alternative solutions. Participate and review contract terms and standards, and technical terms and conditions.
