Marine Mechanic

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair complex mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems on various marine vessels including engines, transmissions, and steering systems.
• Conduct routine maintenance services such as oil changes, filter replacements, and fluid checks to ensure optimal performance and longevity of marine equipment.
• Troubleshoot and resolve engine malfunctions using diagnostic tools and technical manuals to minimize downtime and ensure safe operation.
• Inspect and repair fuel systems including fuel lines, pumps, and injectors to maintain fuel efficiency and prevent leaks.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a marine mechanic training program is preferred.
• Relevant certifications such as ABYC or manufacturer‑specific certifications.
