Manager/Assistant Manager - Financial Controller

Job Summary:

The Financial Controller will work closely with the various departments to ensure that departmental costs are under control and as per the allocated budget.

Key Responsibilities:
Cost monitoring/cost control:
Review departmental spends, analyse variance against budgets, identify cost inefficiencies and leakages and work with departments to have these improved
Business case analysis:
Prepare business case for various departmental initiatives and spends and approve/reject the proposals basis the business case. Depending on the complexity, this will involve varying degrees of excel modelling.
Also, for all approved cases have periodic reviews to substantiate that the case holds true post implementation
Contract/PO reviews:
All contracts entered by the department/company are reviewed by controllers to identify any potential financial risk and adherence to business case assumptions. No contract is signed unless approved by controller
