Manager, Research Administration (Pre-Award)

**Job Description**

Stanford Neurology is seeking a Manager, Research Administration (Pre-Award)/Administrative Services Administrator 2 to lead and manage a team responsible for pre-award proposal preparation activities for a large volume and diverse set of complex, federal and non-federal sponsored research projects, involving multiple sub-awards, principal investigators, and/or cross-school initiatives.


**Duties include*:**

+ Supervise other staff, delegate tasks and projects and monitor work. Conduct performance appraisals; provide coaching, mentoring and take disciplinary actions when required.
+ Actively identify and collaborate to develop training tools and programs for staff. Manage and contribute to continuous process improvement and staff development.
+ Resolve extremely complex issues escalated from team members and determine if further review is necessary by senior management or key university constituencies.
