Position Overview

Under the general direction of the Director of Maintenance Services, the incumbent is responsible for the coordination, direction and control of all maintenance activities, execution of repairs and preventive maintenance required throughout the Centre. Other activities include preparing reports and estimates, performing routine inspections, supervising and training shop staff in the operation, repair and preventive maintenance of building systems, and scheduling of staff. Minimum of seven years experience as an electrician, plumber, or electrical/mechanical technologist, with at least five years experience in a recognized management capacity. Safety

Must have or be able to acquire within a reasonable period of time a thorough knowledge of occupational hazards and safety precautions and regulations applicable to the area of supervision. Education
