**STATEMENT OF PURPOSE** **: The Maintenance Technician is responsible for supporting the day-to-day operation, maintenance, and appearance of agency facilities and grounds. This position performs a variety of building maintenance, repair, inspection, and facility support functions to ensure a safe, clean, functional, and welcoming environment for employees, clients, visitors, and stakeholders. The Maintenance Technician works independently and collaboratively to address facility needs while supporting the mission and values of the agency.**

**RESPONSIBILITY FOR THE WORK OF OTHERS** **: This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities but may provide guidance and direction to volunteers, trainees, contractors, temporary staff, and summer youth program participants as assigned.**
