MAINTENANCE MECHANIC

Summary You will serve as a MAINTENANCE MECHANIC in the Production Resources Department (900), Production Resources Manager (901), Service Shop (990) of NORFOLK NAVAL SHIPYARD. Responsibilities You will perform a variety of tasks involved in the servicing and upkeep of vessels and maintenance of radiologically controlled buildings You will plan and lay out the installation, modification, and repair of various new and existing piping systems and equipment. You will operate and maintain HVAC systems and ductwork/vent inside radiological controlled areas. You will rearrange old or install new outlets, relays, switches, and light fixtures.
