Maintenance Mechanic- Locksmith

Position Summary

This is the journey, working or occupational level of the series. Positions at this level perform a variety of skilled work in the operation, maintenance, repair, remodeling and construction of buildings, grounds, machinery, mechanical facilities and equipment, andsystems and equipment. Incumbents work independently and utilize a general knowledge of several related skill fields such as plumbing, electrical, welding, carpentry, and machinist work. This position holds a specialization in locksmithing duties including installation, repair, re-keying, and maintenance of mechanical and electronic locking devices, digital locks, door hardware, and keying control systems across campus facilities.

This position may provide functional guidance or lead work activities related to specialized maintenance functions, including locksmith operations.
