Peergrowth is hiring a Machine Shop Engineer on behalf of one of our leading clients in the shipbuilding and heavy fabrication sector. The successful candidate will plan coordinate and supervise machining operations for marine and industrial components while ensuring the highest quality efficiency and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and supervise machining of components such as shafts valves bearings pumps propeller hubs and gearboxes.
- Interpret engineering drawings blueprints and technical specifications accurately.
- Ensure dimensional accuracy and surface finish meet classification society or client requirements.
- Select appropriate cutting tools jigs fixtures and determine speeds/feeds for milling turning boring grinding etc.
- Lead and mentor machinists technicians and CNC operators; coordinate daily tasks job orders and shift plans.
