Medical Assistant
Under the clinical direction of the provider, performs patient care services, diagnostic procedures, etc. Assists the provider with patient visits and procedures in the medical office or clinic setting. In addition, may be required to perform front desk duties, which may include telephone work, patient scheduling, etc. If applicable, phlebotomy responsibilities including the collection and processing of specimens such as blood, urine, pap smears, cultures, etc. Assists in multiple departments within Powers Health Medical Group depending on the staffing needs of each department and the direction given by the Physician Practice Network Manager and/or Office Supervisor.
Requirements:
- High school graduate or GED equivalent required
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program required
- Licensed practical nurse must currently be licensed to practice in the state of Indiana
