Logistics Manager – Construction Materials
Responsibilities
- Develop logistics plans and contingency strategies
- Plan, schedule and coordinate deliveries to customer job sites
- Oversee loading and unloading activities, including ports, yards and job sites
- Supervise preventative maintenance procedures, including pre/post trip inspections
- Monitor inventory levels and maintain records for materials in transit and on site
- Resolve delivery issues and ensure stakeholders are updated on status
- Coordinate with Operations teams on handling, storage and distribution of materials
- Hire, lead, coach and support staff
- Ensure staff training is completed, including H&S, operational procedures and other competencies as required by position
- Evaluate, negotiate contracts, coordinate and manage transportation vendors
