Job Description
for Custom Clearance (Forwarding Department)1. Customs Documentation (Declarer)
• Review and verify shipping documents for completeness and accuracy.
• Prepare and submit customs declarations (e.g., K1, K2, K8, K9 forms) via the
National Single Window (uCustoms/Dagang Net).
• Ensure proper tariff classification (HS Code).
• Determine customs value in accordance with Malaysian Customs requirements.
2. Customs Compliance
• Ensure compliance with:
o Customs Act
o Customs Regulations
o Sales Tax Act
o Service Tax Act
o Strategic Trade Act (where applicable)
• Verify import and export restrictions, prohibitions, and licensing requirements.
• Obtain approvals or permits from relevant government agencies (OGA), such as:
o SIRIM
o MAQIS
o MITI
o Department of Environment (DOE)
o Ministry of Health (MOH)
