Overview

Lanarkshire Dermatology welcomes two locum consultant dermatologists to join a forward‑thinking department that has become a leader in active clinical referral triage across Scotland.

Responsibilities

• Triage and review urgent suspicion of cancer referrals, ensuring high‑quality dermoscopy images and maintaining skin‑cancer waiting times.
• Provide clinical assessment and management for patients, working closely with multidisciplinary team members including dermatology pharmacists and specialist nurses.
• Support consultant‑led surgical training and actively participate in the shared Mohs service within the Forth Valley.
• Collaborate with general paediatrics and regional paediatric dermatology to develop and deliver sub‑specialty clinics.
• Engage in teaching medical students and support research and quality‑improvement initiatives across the department.
