Loan Specialist

Summary The incumbent serves the Senior Loan Technician in the Loan Administration (LA) Value Stream (VS). Serves as a team leader and a source of technical expertise and guidance to Loan Technicians and Assistant Loan Technicians in the LA VS who are involved in monitoring mortgage companies and financial institutions that service loans guaranteed by the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) pursuant to Title 38, United States Code and protecting the interests of the U.S. Government. Responsibilities Specific Duties include: Serves as a team leader and a source of technical expertise and guidance to Loan Technicians and Assistant Loan Technicians. Provides guidance and training to staff; monitors quality, quantity, and timeliness of work; and assists with reviews and reports.
