LOAN SPECIALIST (COMMERCIAL)

Summary This position is located in a State Office in USDA/Rural Development (RD) and is established to provide greater flexibility in recruitment Responsibilities The incumbent is delegated responsibility for the development, management, coordination and administration of an assigned loan and grant program portfolio(s) involving one or more of the agency regulatory loan functions. Analyzes loan and grant applications for eligibility and conformance with RD statutory regulations, policies, procedures and practices. Prepares written loan approval determinations or recommendations for loan approval and submits to approving official as appropriate. Cultivates key relationships, fosters support and raises awareness appropriate to assigned portfolio(s) with key business, civic, community and local government.
