Lifeguard/Instructor (2 Positions Available)

• Term of Employment: Full-time, Continuing
• Current Location: Bioclean Aquatic Centre
• Rate of Pay: Band 2: $24.85 - $27.12 per hour (Subject to CUPE 1015 Agreement)

Duties

• Maintain the safety of pool patrons, providing necessary supervision and protection for swimmers, in accordance with recognized Lifeguard procedures.
• Instruct the Swim for Life programs for all ages and abilities.
• Educate the public regarding policies and procedures related to patron safety.
• Monitor patron activities in the swimming pools to prevent accidents and injuries.
• Enforce facility rules to maintain safety and proper use of facility and equipment.
• Maintain the order and proper conduct of people using the facility.
• React to emergent situations; perform first aid as required.
