Licensed Practical Nurse - Operating Room Technician

Your Opportunity:

As an ORT (Operating Room Technician) for Unit 210 Surgical Suite in the Orthopedic Surgery Centre (OSC) at the Royal Alexandra Hospital you will be responsible for providing peri-operative patient care for arthroplasty, urology, bariatric, breast and general surgery patients. As a member of the multidisciplinary team, the Operating Room Technician (ORT) provides peri-operative patient care using the nursing process in accordance with CLPNA Standards of Practice and the Competencies for the Perioperative Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN). The ORT demonstrates competence in delivering safe, effective, and efficient care in both scrub and circulating roles as an integral part of the surgical team.
