Legal Trainee for 12 months (fixed term) at 50%

Lonza’s Legal Department in Basel (Switzerland) is looking for a legal trainee to support the review of simple contracts, primarily Confidentiality Agreements, over a 12‑month fixed-term period at 50% capacity. The trainee will be able to work distributed over all days of the week.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the internal contracts database, including archiving and collaboration with Lonza’s external service provider.
• Create, review and negotiate simple and standard contracts, mainly Confidentiality Agreements, for various business units under the supervision of the in‑house counsel.
• Obtain signatures on all finally negotiated contracts, correspond with the opposing party to secure a fully executed version, and file it in the Contract Insight database.
• Contribute to other legal or administrative tasks as required by Lonza’s Legal Department, depending on requirements, aptness and availability.
