Responsibilities

• Handles and monitors cases for or against the Bank through the process of mediation, trial, appeal and other legal proceedings before the Municipal Trial Courts, Metropolitan Trial Courts, Regional Trial Courts, Court of Appeals or the Supreme Court or any other tribunal, court or agency; coordinates with the Litigation Department Head on the progress of investigation and/or pending cases and recommends proper action. Coordinates with the Litigation Department Head where legal opinion or advise is sought from the department.
• Research, prepare and study and submit pleadings and/or coordinate/collaborate with external counsels on required submissions in cases filed by or on behalf of the Bank or against it before the trial courts, appellate courts, quasi-judicial bodies or tribunals;
