Legal Counsel (Shipping)

The client is a global shipping company with a robust legal and compliance team. This is an exciting opportunity for a lawyer either from law firm/in-house to grow a fulfilling shipping career.

As part of a global legal and compliance team, you will provide commercially focused legal support across the organization's international operations. You will advise on a broad range of legal matters spanning maritime, commercial, corporate and regulatory issues, while partnering closely with business stakeholders to manage legal risk and support strategic initiatives.

Key responsibilities include advising on shipping and maritime matters, drafting and negotiating commercial agreements, supporting corporate transactions including M&A, joint ventures and financing matters, and providing guidance on corporate governance and structuring.
