Legal Counsel for Corporate Governance

Drive effective legal strategies at the Polytechnic as a Legal Counsel. Focus on corporate governance and compliance in a full-time, on-site role within the General Counsel's Office.
As a Legal Counsel, you will collaborate closely with senior management and other leaders to provide insightful legal advice across a variety of matters. You will tackle contract negotiations, risk assessments, and compliance with relevant legislation in this significant role.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist with the negotiation of commercial and partnership agreements
• Communicate legal risks and develop solution strategies
• Provide legal input on contracts and educational agreements
• Create policies and templates for corporate legal matters
• Build relationships with internal departments and external legal advisors
Requirements:
• Juris Doctor (J.D.) or equivalent from a recognized institution
• Active member of the Ontario Law Society
