Legal Counsel (Contract)

Overview

This is an onsite role; contract duration: 6 months. Reporting to the Assistant General Counsel, you will support and provide legal advice to LCBO's multiple departments on matters of commercial law.

Responsibilities

• Drafting, reviewing and negotiating a variety of commercial agreements relating to marketing and advertising, retail operations, supply chain and logistics, and IT.
• Supporting the operations and strategic goals of the LCBO by conducting legal research and providing advice on commercial law and regulatory matters to Senior Counsel and the Assistant General Counsel.
• Assessing and communicating legal risks while collaborating on the development of business strategies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Laws (LL. B) or Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree; membership in good standing with the Law Society of Ontario.
