Job Description

New Directions Education is seeking dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistants to provide support for learners with SEN in mainstream secondary schools across Leeds. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a significant difference in the lives of young people who need additional support to succeed academically and emotionally.

We are looking for candidates who:

  • Have a strong understanding of trauma-informed practices and therapeutic behaviour support strategies.
  • Are trained in Team-Teach or other positive behaviour management techniques.
  • Show a calm, patient, and empathetic approach when working with secondary-age students.
  • Are skilled in behaviour management, with the ability to help young people regulate their emotions and engage with their education.
