Learning Support Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Learning Support Assistant to join the SEN Unit within a welcoming mainstream secondary school in Rochdale.

This is a rewarding opportunity for someone passionate about supporting young people with a wide range of additional needs and helping them thrive both academically and emotionally within a supportive educational environment.

The ideal candidate will:

• Have strong experience working with students with SEND needs
• Be confident supporting pupils within a secondary school setting
• Demonstrate a proactive approach and actively circulate the classroom to engage and support learners
• Have knowledge or experience of Autism Communication Strategies (ACS)
• Understand and apply trauma-informed practice effectively
• Be comfortable working with a broad range of SEND needs, including ASD, ADHD, SEMH, communication needs, and learning difficulties
