learning support assistant

We are seeking an empathetic and motivated person to provide support to a student with an EHCP. The successful candidate will have an interest in working with children with SEND and a willingness to undergo relevant training. The role arises to support a student with an EHCP who begins Year 8 in September. We are seeking a learning support assistant to work as part of a team of two, to meet their needs. The role is subject to funding and will be reviewed after 6 months, in line with the EHCP process.

Supporting the student

• Develop an understanding of the specific needs of the student(s) to be supported.
• Establish a rapport and a supportive relationship with the student(s), promoting high self-esteem, independence and social inclusion.
• Provide support based on a detailed knowledge of the students' personal and physical care needs.
