LEAD ENGINEERING TECHNICIAN

Summary You will serve as a LEAD ENGINEERING TECHNICIAN in the Engineering and Planning Department (C200) of NORFOLK NAVAL SHIPYARD. Responsibilities You will administer and provide technical guidance for Project Lead Engineering duties, conduct final reviews, and provide leadership to engineers and technicians in support of shipyard waterfront availabilities. You will assume overall responsibility and authority for technical Lead Field Engineering support for project waterfront availabilities on assigned ship classes. You will serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for designated Hull/Structural (Code 250) or Electrical (Code 270) systems, serving as a primary mentor to lower-level engineers and the production workforce regarding assigned projects.
