Landfill Manager

Minimum Requirements: Bachelors degree in environmental engineering or equivalent. Minimum 5 years experience in a similar role; ideally within landfill environment with at least 3 years in a managerial position. In-depth knowledge of the NEM: Waste Act, waste classification and management regulations, and landfill permitting requirements. Proficiency in MS Office and Sage . Knowledge of an IMS system (ISO 9001, 14001, 45001). Valid drivers license. Knowledge of double composite liner systems (HDPE clay, permeability 1×10⁻⁹ m/s). Understanding of GNR 635 waste assessment (TC and LC thresholds). Ability to enforce waste acceptance criteria per GNR 636. Experience with leachate collection and leak detection systems. Knowledge of landfill gas management (GNR 924). Familiarity with geotechnical investigations for liner and foundation design. Competence in monitoring and compliance reporting.
