Laboratory Technician

**Position Objective:** The Laboratory Technician will provide custom engineering solutions and advanced equipment maintenance for the National Center for Advancing Translational Sciences within the National Institutes of Health.

**Duties and Responsibilities:**

+ Perform a variety of laboratory techniques and procedures.
+ Operates laboratory machines and instruments; and prepares specimens and equipment for use.
+ Prepare materials and equipment for experiments.
+ Work with a variety of routine and specialized laboratory instruments and equipment in the laboratory.
+ Provides custom engineering solutions for 3DTBL and DPI 2
+ Performs advanced equipment maintenance
+ Performs sample management and storage.
+ Analyzes, documents and reports on all procedures performed.
+ Work with staff on the maintenance of laboratory logs and databases.
