ALaboratory Support Technicianperforms blood specimen collection on adult and pediatric patientsincluding venous, capillary, and blood culture samples. The LST orders laboratory tests in the LaboratoryInformation System, processes, files requisitions, processes specimens for testing, prepares samples tobe sent to reference laboratories for testing and processes test results that were referred to otherreference laboratories. Answers telephone as necessary. The LST will follow all hospital and laboratorypolicies and procedure.
