Laboratory Analyst3

Responsible for all aspects of laboratory analysis including production, time management, quality control, and turnaround time.

Specific Responsibilities

• Preparation of standards, stocks, and materials
• Operation of Basic, Level1, 2, and 3 analytical instruments
• Generation of work lists and organization of analytical runs
• Preparation of complex sample extractions, preparations, and analyses
• Calibration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of analytical instruments
• Training of staff within the department or laboratory; may act as team lead
• Quality control approval review
• Coordination and prioritization of work for a given section or area of equipment
• Review and writing of standard operating procedures (SOPs)
